The North Berwick Raft Race is an afternoon of fun and games, held at the Anchor Green, Elcho slipway and West Beach on Saturday. The annual North Berwick raft race and fun afternoon raises money for The Royal National Lifeboat Institution and a local chosen charity each year.
Come and watch, join in the fun, enter the sandcastle competitions. Stalls, bouncy castles, tombola, raffle and music. Bring your own raft and enter on the day. The trianglular course is 1 mile long, and trophies are given for; best fancy dress; first past the post; and most money raised for charity. There is another new trophy! Race time will be posted closer to the time but generally at high tide. If you want to enter, just turn up with your raft. This years theme is ‘Rowntree sweetie company- sailor submarine’. Competitors must be over 12 years old and be wearing are buoyancy aid/lifejacket.
Stalls open from 1.00pm.
Sand Modelling starts 1.30pm.
Raft Race starts 4.30pm.
