Event Description
North Berwick Novice Triathlon is now open for entries! This event is particularly appropriate for families and those who are new to the sport of triathlon. The event has a friendly atmosphere, welcoming participants of all abilities. It is based at North Berwick Sports Centre where participants swim ten lengths of the 25m pool. They then get on their bicycles and ride for 9k on quiet country roads. The event is rounded off with an out and back run of 4k. Paricipants can choose to the whole event themselves or can team up with friends or family to make a team of two or three. Unique to this event is that children as young as 8 years old can take part by being the swimmer as part of a team. Other team members must be 16 years or older as they are using the open road.
This event is also particularly suitable for participants with a disability and the organisers can easily make adjustments to suit.
