North Berwick Golf Club
One of the best and most scenic links courses in Scotland. There are stunning views over white sandy beaches, isle of May, the islands of Fidra, Craiglieth, the Bass Rock and across the Firth of Forth to the hills of the East Neuk of Fife. It is also a Final Qualifying venue for the Open Championship, when held at nearby Muirfield.
The West course at North Berwick Golf Club is extremely close to the origins of golf. It’s the third oldest course in the world still playing over its original seaside fairways, only St Andrews and Musselburgh (Old) are are older. Founded in 1832 it is the thirteenth oldest golf club. The course is a traditional links, which like St Andrews, starts and finishes at the clubhouse within the town, having wound its way along the Firth of Forth.
