Also known as Belhaven Beach is a a glorious, extensive beach within the John Muir Country Park. Belhaven Bay stretches to the north of the River Tyne. It is edged by low, sheltering sand dunes, rich salt marsh and colourful grasslands. The beach is ideal for walking, picnics, sunbathing and splendid views across the Forth. An ideal location to surf and watch surfers. There is a cliff top walk by Dunbar which passes the harbour and ruined castle. Toilets and car parking.
The Wave Project also base themselves here, when running course.
Best place to park are either the public car and playpark EH42 1XF (just beside the East Links Family park) or the small carpark at Dunbar EH42 1XF.
